Law Practice
Responsibilities
Handle case initial investigations and client and case-related communications
Draft legal pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other correspondence
Manage case files, deadlines, and electronic filings in state and (rarely) federal courts
Conduct legal research and prepare and send notices, demands, and other prelit communications
Organize documents for trial preparation, including exhibits and witness coordination
Negotiate liens and settlements with third parties
Assist clients with finding medical providers
Any other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must reside in the Houston, Texas area, preferably in or around The Woodlands, TX area
Previous personal injury litigation experience is a must
Strong knowledge of legal procedures from Texas case e-filing to resolution
Proficiency in legal research tools
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and proactively to meet deadlines
Preferred
Paralegal certification or relevant degree preferred, not required
