Kwik Trip, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Lab Technician to join their Dairy team. This role involves working closely with management to monitor and analyze product quality, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and quality programs.

Responsibilities

Daily sensory evaluation of products
Set up, monitor and document results of product shelf life studies
Enter lab samples into a web-based data management system
Set lab sampling schedules and coordinate delivery to lab
Sampling – environmental, products, ingredients
Appendix N testing
Maintain lab equipment including calibrations
Work with existing Quality Programs, assist in implementation of new programs and will be involved in all aspects of quality assurance and food safety
Responsible for communicating any quality or food safety issues to management

Required

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, OR Associates degree OR equivalent work experience and/or training in Food Science or related field
Experience and knowledge of lab testing procedures and food safety and QA programs, such as HACCP, FSMA and GMPs
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
Ability to work well alone and as part of a team
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Problem solving skills
Accurate and detail oriented
Willing to learn and perform a variety of job tasks
Ability to read, understand, and interpret numbers and follow company policies
Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple tasks and meet department deadlines
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Valid driver's license

Preferred

Candidates who demonstrate the ability to learn the required skills to fill expectations are also encouraged to apply

Benefits

Weekend Premium Pay: additional $3.00 an hour between the hours of 7:30pm Friday and 5:00am Monday.
