Bid Analyst

Responsibilities

Prepare proposals and quotes for internal departments
Gather qualified vendors for proposal participation based on department requests
Write clear and concise request for proposal or quotes based on the departments’ needs, timeline, and budget
Gather quotes and requested samples
Present final proposals in a professional and unbiased way to requesting department
Send award and rejection letters to participating vendors
Ensure timely delivery of ‘bid’ to requesting department
Negotiate best proposal with a supplier for the requesting department
Execute orders through Expense PO’s as required
Follow item through inception to completion on time and within budget
Facilitate solutions between suppliers and departments as issues arise during the bid/order process
Negotiate discounts and hold suppliers accountable for failure to provide bids/services based on awarded orders
Understands the needs of each department in order to procure the best pricing/items
Have a cross-functional ability to interact with all departments
All other duties as assigned

Requires attention to detail
Must be able to prioritize

Preferred

Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business, Economics or Accounting preferred
One-two years of supply chain management, inventory management, purchasing, or replenishment buying
Working knowledge of purchasing functions and of the materials, products, and commodity markets
Ability to lead others
