Legal Intern
Carmeuse is a leading global producer of lime and high calcium limestone. The Legal Intern will assist with legal research and writing, filings, and corporate record keeping, while also supporting the legal department in public policy advocacy.

Responsibilities
Preparing and maintaining corporate records, maintaining corporate minute books, assisting in drafting corporate minute meetings
Assisting in the review of due diligence materials for mergers and acquisitions and commercial transactions
Drafting supporting documentation for legal transactions
Assisting in drafting of pleadings, briefs, demand letters, and other legal correspondence
Researching legal questions and drafting legal memoranda
Researching and drafting policy advocacy documents
Researching and drafting materials for public education
Assisting legal team members in company-wide initiatives (sustainability, knowledge management, etc); and general legal research and compiling of legal information
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree, and in the process of completing a Juris Doctor (JD) degree
Excellent research, writing, analytical and communication skills
The highest levels of initiative, creativity, and good judgment
Well-organized, self-directed and able to complete multiple tasks in a timely and efficient manner
