The Senior Software Engineer will work on building Collectly's core pre-service product, focusing on backend systems in Python and collaborating with various teams to deliver impactful features for healthcare providers and patients.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the founder, product managers, designers, and engineers to design and build a high-impact product
Build and ship critical features with intent, strong attention to detail, and a focus on long-term maintainability and scalability
Own features end to end, from shaping requirements and implementation to testing, observability, deployment, and iteration in production
Contribute to and help shape our engineering culture as the team grows

Qualification

Required

6+ years of experience building and operating complex web applications in production environments
Strong experience building backend systems, ideally in Python
Comfortable working across the stack
Understand that velocity and quality aren't opposites
Think in terms of outcomes, not just implementations
Prefer pragmatic, well-reasoned solutions over theoretical perfection
Comfortable owning features end-to-end, from vague ideas to production impact and iteration

Preferred

Experience with React is a strong plus
Experience with frameworks like FastAPI or Flask
Background in a statically typed language (for example Go, Java, or C#)
