Senior Program Manager, Insurance

Responsibilities

Market research, segmentation and profitability reporting and benchmarking as well as providing opportunities to explore and expand new product segments
Provide input into Product/Integrated Ford Pro/Ford Pro Insure Program strategy, definition, design, and development
Performance Monitoring by defining and tracking both business performance as well as project implementation metrics to monitor the effectiveness of the business and projects
Cross-functional coordination between insurance operations teams and go-to-market partners both externally and internally (Ford Pro)
Requirements translation by working with product and sales teams to translate high-level strategic objectives along with operational and customer pain points into detailed functional and technical requirements
Prioritization and road-mapping through ownership of product and operational milestones based on strategic impact, customer value, and technical feasibility while managing trade-offs effectively
Continuously seek and identify opportunities for process improvements and areas to enhance efficiency and quality of operations and products
Coordinate with sales and technology teams on CRM approach and integration
Maintain product/program lifecycle and ensure activities are performed for continuous innovation and improvement of the product’s offerings and internal operations

Required

Bachelor's degree in risk, business, related field, or equivalent experience
5-7 years of experience
3-5 years of experience in Program Management and/or Strategy Planning
Strong background or experience with Property & Casualty insurance and/or focus on commercial insurance
Strong communication skills inclusive of oral, written, and presentation in order to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong leadership experience managing teams
Experience working with stakeholders across different teams and business divisions
Demonstrated ability to guide, shape, and help reach strategic goals
Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail

Preferred

Insurance designations, including CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) and/ or CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) are preferred
Knowledge of the US regulatory landscape including requirements for distributing insurance products and best practices for the small commercial sector
Prior experience in Commercial Auto Insurance
Experience in professional services consulting to internal or external stakeholders
Deep understanding of insurance and underwriting strategy along pricing principles
Experience with carrier rating/policy management platforms
Experience with risk management and marketing strategies
