Senior Data Scientist – HighPeak (Individual Life Insurance)

Responsibilities

Design, build, and refine predictive models using large‑scale structured datasets
Develop feature pipelines, evaluate model performance, and ensure production‑level reliability
Partner with engineering to deploy, monitor, and iterate on ML systems in the cloud
Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for internal and client stakeholders
Contribute to shaping new data‑driven features and product capabilities

Qualification

Required

Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field (PhD preferred)
5+ years of experience in data science or applied ML
Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern ML frameworks
Experience deploying models into production cloud environments
Solid statistical foundation and familiarity with advanced ML techniques
Ability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams in a fast‑paced environment
Experience building APIs or lightweight web interfaces (required)

Preferred

Experience working with large, complex datasets
Understanding of cloud‑based ML infrastructure
Background in risk modeling, financial analytics, or health‑related data
