AI Engineer Summer Intern 2026 (Puerto Rico)
RTX is a leader in aerospace innovation, and they are seeking an AI Engineer Summer Intern to gain hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The intern will collaborate with engineers to design and develop Python applications while learning about advanced techniques such as Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with skilled engineers to design, develop, and test Python applications utilizing advanced techniques such as Machine Learning, Generative AI, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Simulation, XR/VR, and more
Gain hands-on experience with Data Science, Model Development & Experimentation, Applied Machine Learning, MLOps, DevOps and Cloud Platforms
Participate in code reviews and demos to provide and receive constructive feedback
Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing software applications
Contribute ideas and solutions in team discussions and brainstorming sessions
Qualification
Required
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline
Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred
Basic understanding of fundamental programming concepts and principles
Prior experience with Python (through coursework, personal projects, or internships) is a plus
Familiarity with AI concepts, tools, and methodologies (through coursework, personal projects, or internships) is beneficial
Strong communication skills, proactive problem solver, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
