Designer I

PAC Seating Systems believes that each employee makes a significant contribution to their success. They are seeking a Designer I who will be responsible for product design, engineering change requests, and supporting configuration changes, as well as conceptual design and prototyping.

Responsibilities

Create Engineering Change Requests to document required changes against existing products
Product design using Creo
Revise engineering drawings as required to maintain legacy product data
Support configuration changes based on new sales to customers
Support builds on the production floor
Support internal and external technical help requests
Conceptual design of new products and ideas to improve existing products
Prototype construction and testing
Materials/parts research and selection for use in product designs
Create drawing packages
Create and validate new designs (modeling/analyzing/drafting/BOM creation)
Mark up drawings and create redlines for engineering incorporation
Interpret and apply geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)
Support development and qualification testing
Support evaluation of product non-conformities
May require work outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary to meet program objectives and deadlines

Required

Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask
Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills and a high degree of initiative required
Excellent communication, both written and verbal
Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative
Must be proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience in Creo and Windchill
Proficient with 3-D modeling and 2-D drafting
Proficient with ASME Y14 drafting and design standards
Working knowledge of FAA Certification Practices
BS in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, Material Sciences or related fields
0-3 years' experience in engineering or related industry, aerospace preferred
