The construction, reinforcement, alteration and replacement of assets
The maintenance and repair of assets
The restoration of supplies to customers and repair of faulty assets
The issue of safety documents up to 66kV
The organisation of individual projects
The cost effectiveness of individual projects

The health and safety of the team

The identification of necessary physical resources

Qualification
Required
Grade A-C/4-9 GCSE in English and Maths or Functional Skills Level 2 qualification in both subjects
City & Guilds 2339 Level 2 or equivalent Level 2 qualification in Electrical Engineering
Ability to work on own initiative as part of a small team
Good communication skills
Flexible attitude and ability to cope in pressured situations
Willingness to train as an SAP
Mobility throughout the area for standby duties
Live within approximately 30 minutes of the depot
Satisfactory Barring Service (DBS) check
Preferred
Level 3 City & Guilds 2339 (if not already attained)
Experience in construction, maintenance, and repair of distribution networks up to 66kV
Experience in issuing safety documents up to 66kV
Experience in project organization and cost-effectiveness
Experience in health and safety management
Ability to make on-the-spot decisions
Experience working with fall arrest devices
Understanding of the impact of project activities on customers, public, and environment
Experience in personal development and identification of necessary physical resources
Experience in effective use of contracts
