Channel Development Manager (KA / Big-Box Retail)
STARMERX INNOVATIONS is seeking an experienced Offline Channel Development Manager to lead the expansion and management of key account retail channels. The role focuses on developing retail partnerships, managing buyer relationships, and driving sustainable sales growth across offline channels.
Responsibilities
Identify, develop, and manage key offline retail accounts, including national and regional retailers
Lead end-to-end KA cooperation, including product on-boarding, assortment planning, pricing strategy, and promotional execution
Expand distribution footprint and strengthen brand presence within retail networks
Act as the primary point of contact for retail buyers, category managers, and merchandising teams
Build long-term, trust-based partnerships with key decision-makers
Maintain regular communication to align on sales targets, inventory planning, and promotional calendars
Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, rebates, promotional funding, contract terms, and annual agreements
Balance growth objectives with margin protection and channel profitability
Support contract review and ensure compliance with agreed terms
Develop sales forecasts, joint business plans (JBP), and annual account strategies
Monitor sell-in and sell-through performance, inventory levels, and replenishment cycles
Identify risks and opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly
Work closely with supply chain, operations, and logistics teams to ensure product availability and on-time delivery
Coordinate with marketing teams on in-store promotions, seasonal campaigns, and product launches
Track competitor activity, retail pricing trends, assortment strategies, and market dynamics
Provide insights and recommendations to support product and channel strategy
Qualification
Required
7-10+ years of experience in offline sales, KA management, or retail channel development
Proven experience working with big-box retailers, large chains, or KA customers
Strong negotiation skills and commercial judgment
Familiarity with retail sales cycles, merchandising logic, and contract structures
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Fluent in English; local market experience in the U.S. or Europe is strongly preferred
Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments
Preferred
Experience in consumer goods, home & living, or fast-growing retail brands
Candidates with experience from retail-focused brands are highly relevant
