Nurse Practitioner - Part Time - Geriatric & Internal Medicine
NOMS Healthcare is a physician-owned and led organization focused on patient-centered care and community betterment. The Nurse Practitioner will provide primary care services, assess and manage patients, and collaborate with physicians to ensure continuity of care.

Responsibilities
You’ll comply with all HIPAA and OSHA regulations and policies
You’ll perform a complete physical exam, obtain complete medical history and records findings
You will also orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures and interprets and integrates data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan
You will administer medications and injections in compliance with state law and clinic guidelines
Sutures minor lacerations
You will instruct patient/family regarding medications and treatments
You will have the opportunity to educate patients regarding health and illness prevention
You will recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs
You get to collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients, provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits
You also will maintain and review patient records, charts and other pertinent information
In addition, you will posts tests and examination results and triage patient telephone calls and provides consultation
You will be required to maintain patient confidentiality
Qualification
Required
MSN Preferred
Successful Completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program
Minimum of three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting plus two years of nurse practitioner experience
Current State of Ohio CNP or APRN license
Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices and regulations to give and evaluate patient care
Knowledge of how to use medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish/maintain a safe work environment
Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care
Skill in taking medical histories to assess medical condition and interpret findings
Ability to navigate through electronic medical records- EPIC experience is preferred but not required
Ability to maintain quality control standards
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures
Ability to communicate clearly and establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public
