Start in 2026 SummerLandis+Gyr is a leader in transforming energy management towards a sustainable future. They are seeking a Tools Software Development Intern to learn and apply real-world development skills while contributing to projects involving web-based applications for electrical meter data.

Responsibilities
Create and enhance code under the guidance of an experienced team
Write and enhance unit tests for test driven development
Perform functional tests with the resulting applications with electrical meters
Analyze and fix defects discovered in testing
Work with Docker containers and yaml pipeline scripts to create or maintain CI/CD builds in GitLab
Collaborate with the team to log, track, and update defects in Azure DevOps (ADO), ensuring accurate and timely documentation
Contribute from the experience gained to inform future development paths for Landis+Gyr software
Qualification
Required
Interest in Software development
Self-motivated to learn new technology
Enthusiastic about online research and problem solving
Education or experience in at least one of Java or .Net C# development
Willingness to work on real-world automation projects in the energy domain
Strong problem-solving and online research skills
Applicants must be undergraduate students currently in their Sophomore or Junior year working on their Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
