Responsibilities
Review open accounts for collection efforts
Make outbound collection calls in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations
Resolve client-billing problems and rescues accounts receivable delinquency, applying good customer service in a timely manner
Maintain records of all collection activity by entering detailed call notes in the database
Act as a liaison between customers and internal departments (operations, invoicing, sales) to deal with and correct problems that may cause a delay in payments
Collect customer payments in accordance with payment due dates
Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with management
Review and monitor assigned accounts and all applicable collection reports
Provide timely follow-up on payment arrangements
Mail and/or email correspondence to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts
Perform additional duties as needed
Qualification
Required
3+ years of corporate collections experience; interaction with a large customer base
Strong written and verbal communication, problem solving, and analytical skills required
Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast-changing environment
Highly proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
Creative, self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency
Self-starter with a great personality to build rapport with our customers
