Responsibilities
Participate in the selection of new medical equipment systems by analyzing organizational and regulatory requirements and by evaluating available products and vendors
Manage the installation, use, testing, and maintenance of existing/new medical equipment systems
Collaborate with information technology staff to integrate medical equipment systems with information systems applications
Provide consultation and training on medical equipment systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in biomedical or electronic engineering
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to climb 8-foot ladders and work on overhead equipment
Ability to work in prone positions and in confined, darkened areas
Sufficient manual dexterity to use hand and power tools and work on small mechanical parts
Visual acuity sufficient to distinguish between colors used for wire color coding and read finely printed blueprints and schematics
Must be available for off-hour support and problem resolution
Preferred
Related previous experience and co-op/internship preferred
Certified Clinical Engineer (CCE) preferred
