Responsibilities

Perform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phase testing of all complexities as defined by Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act/Amendment (CLIA)
Perform specialized tests and analysis in one or more areas of clinical laboratory such as Hematology and Coagulation, Molecular Pathology, and Flow Cytometry
Obtain data for use in diagnosis and recording laboratory test results
Provide research expertise by participating in the design and implementation of test development and research projects as needed
Responsible for specific and assigned aspects of research infrastructure development
Coordinate projects
Communicate status and improvement areas to leadership

Required

Minimum six (6) months of Clinical Laboratory experience
Bachelor's degree in Biological Science or equivalent degree
Must be detail oriented, able to meet deadlines, and demonstrate leadership ability and critical thinking
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
Ability to build and establish positive relationships with stakeholders and staff at all levels
Able to communicate effectively in person, in writing, and on the telephone
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Intermediate or advanced computer, spreadsheet, & database skills
Ability to perform duties accurately, efficiently, and independently, meeting the standards of all departments
A current and valid Clinical Lab Scientist – CA (CLS) license

Preferred

Over two (2) years of Clinical Laboratory experience
Research experience and previous experience in the design of laboratory developed tests (LDT)
