Responsibilities

Champion the commercetools Platform, refining its differentiated positioning to drive awareness, adoption, and revenue growth
Lead messaging and GTM for add-on capabilities across the Platform, Payment Hub, AI Hub, Agent Gateway, integrations, and connectors, ensuring cohesive narratives that highlight business and technical value
Articulate and evangelize the vision of agentic commerce, helping customers and partners understand how emerging AI concepts and autonomous agents are transforming the future of digital commerce
Translate complex AI platform concepts, including LLMs, agent orchestration, MCP/ACP-style protocols, model routing, tool invocation, and API-driven orchestration, into clear, differentiated value propositions for technical and business audiences
Develop a deep understanding of our customers, partners, and developer audiences, uncovering insights that inform messaging, content, and product direction
Own joint value propositions with strategic partners (Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, AWS, MongoDB, and others) to amplify our technical credibility and ecosystem advantage
Drive joint value propositions with technology partners (Microsoft, OpenAI) and ISVs
Partner with Product and Engineering to shape launch strategies for new platform capabilities, integrations, and AI-powered features, understanding architectural trade-offs, constraints, and real-world implementation considerations
Drive adoption and enablement through clear, technically grounded content from sales collateral and demos to customer stories and industry thought leadership
Partner across GTM, Product, and Marketing teams to align on strategic priorities, messaging, and launch plans that elevate commercetools' market leadership
Identify market opportunities through an understanding of industry, customer, and competitive trends

Required

Experience in product marketing or technical marketing
Product Management or Engineering background
Strong understanding of modern AI architectures, including LLMs, embeddings, inference workflows, and agent-based systems
Working knowledge of AI integration patterns (e.g., model context protocols, agent communication protocols, tool calling, API-driven orchestration)
Ability to reason about how AI systems interact with platforms, data, and external services, including limitations, latency, security, and compliance considerations
Comfortable collaborating with engineers on AI topics and asking the right technical questions to produce accurate, credible messaging
Experience in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional, global organization
Strategic thinker who builds deep product knowledge, influences roadmaps, and develops compelling launch plans
Ability to enable and educate internal audiences to drive meaningful, actionable content
Strong storytelling and presentation skills, turn data into a story and a story into a presentation
Proven ownership mindset with excellent project management skills and the ability to work independently
Track record of turning deliverables into repeatable processes that scale product marketing
AI Aptitude: A genuine curiosity for using AI tools to work smarter and more effectively, paired with a drive to learn and put them into practice in your role

Preferred

Hands-on experience working with or marketing AI platforms, developer tools, or LLM-based products
Familiarity with commerce platforms (e.g., SAP Hybris/Commerce Cloud, Shopify, etc.)
Exposure to AI ecosystems and partners (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.)
Familiarity with cloud providers (e.g., AWS, GCP, etc.)
