Responsibilities
Implements new Ignition features and changes while monitoring security, reliability, and performance
Performs complex and precise troubleshooting to pinpoint root causes for issues identified by the manufacturing and support teams
Participates in the agile development process (SCRUM)
Completes Ignition development projects and processes
Works with end users to identify areas of improvement for the Ignition applications
Participates in blueprinting, requirements gathering, and other planning functions for new projects
Performs code review to verify changes made by other developers
Adheres to work instructions as needed
Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and establishes open communication with supervisor and manager
Ensures that all company safety rules are followed
Makes recommendations to management for continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree with Computer Science, Information Technology or related combination of experience and education required
Certified with Ignition 8.0 or greater
Proven experience working with Perspective
Experience using GitHub
Experience integrating Ignition with PLCs for the purpose of control and reporting
Experience in Java and/or Python development
Comfortable working in an agile environment
Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp complex, technical concepts
Must possess excellent problem solving skills, and the self-motivation to improve skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Technical aptitude and analytical propensity
Proven ability to manage projects to completion
Must be able to work independently with general supervision and as a member of a team
Ability to learn technical concepts by reading work instructions and standard operating procedures, and completing on-the-job training
Preferred
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience preferred
