CS TECH Ai – Geospatial Americas is seeking dependable 1099 contract field technicians to support a utility pole inspection project in the Carlsbad, New Mexico area. This role focuses on collecting Katapult Pro-compliant field data to support downstream utility documentation and design.

Responsibilities

Capture complete, high-quality photographic documentation of utility poles and associated assets in accordance with defined capture standards
Ensure required views are captured, including:
Full pole profile
Ground-to-top perspective
All attachments (communications, power, transformers, risers, anchors, etc.)
Pole tag and identification markers
Surrounding context and clearances
Maintain proper photo sequencing, framing, and focus to ensure downstream usability for design and engineering
Verify pole data completeness in the field before leaving each site
Work collaboratively with your assigned partner to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and safety
Follow all project-specific safety procedures and field protocols
Upload completed pole captures at the end of each workday using established workflows

Required

Dependable 1099 contract field technicians
Ability to support a utility pole inspection project in the Carlsbad, New Mexico area
Focus on collecting Katapult Pro–compliant field data
Work in teams of two (2)
Field work consists of photo-based utility pole inspections
Capture complete, high-quality photographic documentation of utility poles and associated assets in accordance with defined capture standards
Ensure required views are captured, including full pole profile, ground-to-top perspective, all attachments (communications, power, transformers, risers, anchors, etc.), pole tag and identification markers, surrounding context and clearances
Maintain proper photo sequencing, framing, and focus to ensure downstream usability for design and engineering
Verify pole data completeness in the field before leaving each site
Work collaboratively with your assigned partner to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and safety
Follow all project-specific safety procedures and field protocols
Upload completed pole captures at the end of each workday using established workflows
Capture equipment will be provided

Preferred

Prior utility, telecom, or power infrastructure documentation experience
DSLR camera familiarity
Consistent image quality in outdoor conditions
Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured capture standards
Ability to work effectively as part of a two-person field team
Contractors who already own approved cameras will receive preference
