Senior Electrical Technician

Responsibilities

Provide advanced electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical infrastructure systems supporting research and development activities
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on power distribution systems, generators, transfer switches, UPS systems, and other essential electrical equipment
Install, modify, and test electrical systems and components according to blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals while adhering to strict safety protocols
Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and outages, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime
Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and inspections, ensuring compliance with Navy regulations and industry standards

Required

Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
Journeyman License or equivalent certification
Extensive experience in electrical maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of high-voltage and low-voltage systems, preferably in a mission-critical environment
Thorough knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70E, and other relevant electrical safety standards
Proven ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and specialized equipment to effectively diagnose and repair complex electrical systems
Strong understanding of power distribution systems, generators, UPS systems, and other critical electrical equipment
