Media Strategy Intern

GSD&M is a creatively driven, full-service advertising agency based in Texas, seeking a Media Strategy Intern for their summer program. The intern will gain hands-on experience in media strategy, working alongside various teams to analyze market trends, support content creation, and assist in developing media plans.

Responsibilities

Use research tools to understand target audiences, analyze market trends, and gather insights for media plans
Identify cultural trends that will be important towards establishing a personal connection with our target audience
Support POVs and The Future Of content creation to establish thought leadership work
Assist in writing case studies to highlight our best work
Use data to establish reach and frequency benchmarks that will support clients business goals
Assist in creating media plans, flowcharts, and managing budgets for campaigns
Stay updated on new platforms, technologies, and advertising innovations

Required

Candidates must be enrolled as a junior, senior or graduate-level student in college OR recent college graduate (less than 1 year since graduation)
Must be available during the length of the program (6/2/26 – 8/7/26) and able to come into the GSD&M Austin offices at least 3 days a week
Must be able to work full-time 40 hours per week

Familiarity of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Reddit), connected TV platforms and emerging platforms (e.g., gaming, audio)
Strong writing experience
Strong desk research skills and ability to use AI to speed up research

Preferred

Experience with secondary research platforms (Mintel, KANTAR, etc.) is nice to have, but not required
Experience with social listening & analytics platforms (Brandwatch, Talkwalker, etc.) is nice to have, but not required
