Responsibilities
Contribute to EMVCo's work and mission and represent American Express positions and interests
Work closely with business product teams and others using expertise in EMV Chip & Mobile payment products to define solutions
Solve consultancy requests that tap into knowledge of chip and mobile products
Partner with Global and Regional Certification teams to ensure security and interoperability of payment products on the American Express Network
Author documents such as functionally focused specifications and implementation guides supportive of EMVCo or Amex standards and products
Represent American Express at external industry forums, particularly at EMVCo
Qualification
Required
Technical background with business knowledge and context from experience in the card payments industry
Expertise in EMV, contact and contactless payments, mobile payments, digital and remote payments
Ability to combine knowledge and passion with written communication skills to add to or author documents, such as functionally focused specifications, implementation guides, and other documentation supportive of EMVCo or Amex standards and products
Comfortable representing American Express at external industry forums, particularly at EMVCo
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Past experience as a software developer of EMV related products (POS terminals, applications, etc.) would be a valuable asset
