Network Operations Center Technician
Pro/source is an enterprise client looking to expand their Network Operations team by hiring several level 1 NOC Technicians on a contract basis. The role involves monitoring network tools for outages, managing incidents through a ticketing system, and escalating issues as necessary.
Responsibilities
Monitor Enterprise network tools (OpenNMS, WUG - What’s up Gold, Slack, and Home Assistant) for outages and incidents of all network equipment and peripherals, UPS’s, and Carrier Circuits
Manage outages and incidents via Service Now ticketing system and escalate to network team via phone calls
Escalate carrier outages and issues with the associated carrier
Run reports from IP Database to check overall network health and escalate any issues found
Monitor NOC email mailbox
Qualification
Required
Experience with monitoring enterprise network tools (OpenNMS, WUG - What's up Gold, Slack, and Home Assistant)
Ability to manage outages and incidents via Service Now ticketing system
Experience in escalating issues to the network team via phone calls
Ability to escalate carrier outages and issues with the associated carrier
Experience in running reports from IP Database to check overall network health
Ability to monitor NOC email mailbox
