Production Assembler - 2nd Shift
Custom Power has been a leader in the design and manufacturing of specialized battery packs and advanced battery management systems. They are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Assembler to join their team, responsible for assembling battery packs and management systems while adhering to quality standards and safety protocols.

Responsibilities
Assemble battery packs and battery management systems by following blueprints, work instructions, and assembly guides to ensure accurate and consistent production
Handle and position small components, wires, and connectors with precision and care to prevent damage and ensure proper alignment
Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete assembly tasks efficiently and safely
Conduct inspections of in-process and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards
Perform basic soldering and wire routing as required for assembly
Record assembly data, complete production checklists, and maintain accurate documentation of work performed
Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe working environment
Notify supervisors of low stock or the need for replenishment of components, ensuring production timelines are met
Identify issues with parts, materials, or processes and communicate with supervisors to resolve them promptly
Conduct basic cleaning and maintenance of assembly tools and equipment to ensure functionality and longevity
Work closely with Quality Control, Engineering, and Production Supervisors to address any production challenges and maintain workflow
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain high-quality standards
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in production assembly, electronics assembly, or manufacturing
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly instructions
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized assembly equipment
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and maintain focus for extended periods
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Ability to stand, bend, and work with small components for extended periods
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed
Proficiency in basic computer applications
Ability to work Monday through Friday with occasional overtime as needed
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a 'U.S. Person' as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. 'U.S. Person' includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Preferred
Basic soldering experience is preferred but not required
