Responsibilities
The Orthopedic Surgical PA is responsible for practicing medicine with physician supervision including conducting examinations and writing prescriptions
Within the physician/physician assistant (PA) relationship, PAs exercise autonomy in medical decision making and provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services
Practice is restricted to orthopedic subspecialty as well as orthopedic surgery and surgical assists
May include responsibility for administrative duties and includes additional duties and parameters of specific individual contract and/or continuing education requirements
Qualification
Required
Highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant
Experience in Orthopedics and Surgery
Ability to practice medicine with physician supervision
Conduct examinations and write prescriptions
Exercise autonomy in medical decision making
Provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services
Practice restricted to orthopedic subspecialty and orthopedic surgery
May include responsibility for administrative duties
Meet specific individual contract and/or continuing education requirements
