Inventory Control Analyst

Responsibilities

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
Lead and coordinate annual physical inventory audits
Investigate and resolve root causes of inventory variances (e.g., shipping errors, receiving errors, damage)
Maintain high data integrity within the ERP/WMS system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
Develop and generate regular KPI reports on inventory turnover, days on hand, fill rates, shrinkage, and accuracy
Analyze inventory trends, forecast needs, and identify slow-moving or obsolete stock
Create and maintain dashboards to provide real-time visibility into inventory levels for key stakeholders
Model the financial impact of inventory decisions
Identify opportunities to improve inventory management procedures and workflows
Collaborate with procurement, warehousing, and logistics teams to enhance inventory flow and reduce waste
Recommend and help implement optimal reorder points, safety stock levels, and min/max parameters
Support the implementation of new systems or technologies related to inventory management
Work closely with the purchasing team to provide data for replenishment planning
Partner with the warehouse team to address operational issues affecting inventory accuracy
Assist in managing reverse logistics processes for returns and damaged goods

Required

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field
Proven experience (2+ years) in inventory control, supply chain analysis, or a similar analytical role
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Charts, Data Manipulation) is essential
Hands-on experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or WMS (Warehouse Management System) software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across different departments
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Experience with SQL for data querying
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
Certification in APICS (CPIM/CSCP) or other supply chain credentials
Experience in [Your Industry, e.g., retail, manufacturing, distribution, e-commerce]
