Responsibilities
Assist with public participation activities, including scoping and public comment periods
Review, analyze, categorize, and support responses to public comments on draft environmental documents
Gather and evaluate environmental, technical, and socioeconomic data from literature, project documentation, site visits, and stakeholder sources
Support technical leads or independently manage data collection efforts within assigned disciplines
Conduct qualitative and quantitative environmental impact assessments for proposed actions and reasonable alternatives
Apply appropriate analytical tools and methodologies to support NEPA compliance
Prepare or contribute to technical sections, tables, figures, and supporting materials for draft and final NEPA documents
Assist with the preparation of technical support documents and appendices
Perform technical reviews of environmental documents to ensure clarity, consistency, accuracy, and analytical rigor (senior-level assignments)
Qualification
Required
Experience in environmental compliance efforts under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
Technical and analytical support for environmental evaluations
Preparation of Environmental Assessments (EAs) and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs)
Expertise across one or more environmental disciplines such as Air Quality, Aquatic Ecology, Fisheries Biology, Hydrology, Terrestrial Ecology, Socioeconomics, GIS and Web-Based Support
Assist with public participation activities, including scoping and public comment periods
Review, analyze, categorize, and support responses to public comments on draft environmental documents
Gather and evaluate environmental, technical, and socioeconomic data from literature, project documentation, site visits, and stakeholder sources
