Human Resources Manager
Power Motive Corporation is seeking a Human Resources Manager to develop policy and coordinate human resources activities including employment, compensation, and training. The role involves ensuring compliance with laws, managing employee relations, and overseeing hiring and onboarding processes.
Responsibilities
Writes directives advising department managers of Company policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation, and employee benefits
Consults legal counsel to ensure that policies comply with federal and state law
Develops and maintains a human resources system that meets management information needs
Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization
Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
Studies legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends
Writes and delivers presentations to officers regarding human resources policies and practices
Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting
Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization
Conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate
Recruits, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions
Place appropriate ads in various on-line applications and on PMC web site
Review all applicants and forward qualified applicants onto hiring manager
After manager engages candidate and prior to first interview send PI survey to candidate
Read PI after survey is completed and complete a PI readback for the manager
Work with manager to prepare and extend offer letter
Once offer has been accepted, set up candidate for background check and pre-employment physical and drug screen
Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as temporary employees, search firms, or relocation services
Once candidate has accepted position and has passed their background, physical and drug screen inform IT, of pending new employee and technology needs
IT to has 10 business days to complete this
Enter new hire information into Paycom to set up on-boarding paperwork
Send new employee insurance information to enroll on-line via PayCom
