Emergency Medical Technician - (Iraq)
International SOS delivers customized medical and security risk management and wellbeing solutions. The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) will assist nurses and paramedics with assessing, planning, and providing medical assistance in emergency situations.

Responsibilities
Administer first aid and medical assistance within the EMT scope of practice
Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess the nature and extent of patients' condition
Assessment and documentation of the patient’s vital signs, chief complaint, medical history and prescribed medications
Maintains inventory by checking stock and determining sufficient levels; anticipating needed supplies
Crosstrain to work within the clinics, emergency room and inpatient units
Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies
Qualification
Required
Current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification from an accredited program
Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements
Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time
May require bending, stooping and lifting to 25 lbs
US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required
Valid US Passport with at least 18 months before expiration date. Must maintain a current passport during your stay in Iraq
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, specifically a MRPT
Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the project
Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate
