Technical Representative I - Airframe
Duncan Aviation is the largest, family-owned maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in the world providing complete nose-to-tail services for business aircraft. The Airframe - Technical Representative I serves as primary technical advisor for assigned aircraft, supporting customers with technical services, troubleshooting, and systems training, while also assisting sales and engineering teams with technical data and customer service issues.

Responsibilities
Provides technical advice and troubleshooting assistance to team members, customers and manufacturers for assigned aircraft makes
Assists with aircraft repairs and modifications
Coordinates with manufacturers, management and shop team members to recommend and resolve customers’ technical and warranty issues
Acts as Qualified Inspector (QI) or RII as needed
Provides aircraft and aircraft systems OJT to technicians and familiarization training to customers
Assists the Professional Development team with developing and conducting technical training for internal and external customers
Develops and administers written and practical testing for Run Taxi qualifications
Recommends and initiates measures to improve quality, procedures, efficiency and working conditions
Identifies, researches and recommends aircraft tooling and equipment needs
Develops and fosters relationships with OEM technical representatives
Assists management with monitoring and maintaining compliance with airframe service center requirements
Promotes Duncan Aviation services through industry interaction including attending conventions and tradeshows, customer visits, intelli-conferences, preparing newsletter, tele-fax articles, etc
Supports sales team with quotes and sales proposals by providing technical guidance for airframe systems capabilities and integration issues
Promotes airframe services to customers by identifying and recommending products and services
Performs other duties as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Airframe & Powerplant Certificate required
QI designation
RII designation
Must have a valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record
Regularly scheduled attendance required
Occasional overnight and short notice travel required
After hours availability
High school graduate or equivalent required
Eight years related engine/airframe maintenance experience required
Routinely lifts up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs
Reads small print
Hears sounds associated with mechanical deficiencies
Repetitive motion
Works with moving parts and vibration
Tolerates products, materials and fumes associated with component maintenance
Tolerates working in confined spaces and heights above four feet
Tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting
Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and in noisy environments
