Variable, Inc. is seeking a part-time Business Analyst who will report to the CEO and play a critical role in the team. This role involves managing procurement, vendor relations, and inventory control to ensure effective operations and meet customer demand.

Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness

Place purchase orders for materials and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget

Coordinate transportation and distribution of goods to ensure timely delivery to customers and internal departments

Collaborate with logistics providers to optimize shipping processes and costs

Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and reliability

Negotiate contracts and terms to secure favorable pricing and service agreements

Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or discrepancies

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to ensure adequate stock

Implement inventory management practices to minimize waste and reduce costs

Participate in regular cycle and inventory counts

Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions

Conduct research on new products and suppliers to enhance procurement strategies

Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to purchasing

Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance metrics

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, finance, and engineering, to align purchasing activities with company objectives
