Senior LevelTalentCORE, Inc. is seeking an experienced Price Cost Analyst to work in their Poway, CA location. The role involves analyzing statistical and proposal data to develop independent price and cost recommendations, as well as interfacing with internal groups and suppliers to gather information and validate cost elements.

Responsibilities
With limited direction, this position exercises considerable latitude in analyzing statistical and proposal data to develop independent price and cost recommendations to support negotiations with customers and suppliers
Compile and analyze source data from government or commercial databases, tables, and indexes to establish price and cost positions
Interface with several internal functional groups as well as outside vendors/suppliers to gather information
Perform detailed analysis of supplier proposals and supporting documentation to validate labor, material, and other cost elements for supplier products, and/or services
Perform fact finding at supplier locations as needed to review basis of estimates and source documentation verifying proposal cost estimates
May analyze and audit direct/indirect rates at supplier facilities to formulate rate recommendations
Perform regression analysis to account for learning or quantity variance as required
Determine reasonableness of proposed cost and pricing
Interpret relevant government regulation(s) (e.g. FAR & DFARS) to perform this role
Develop and maintain spreadsheet and/or cost models to support price/cost analysis, and prepare reports, charts, and graphs of findings
Participate in cost and pricing reviews with management, customer, and or supplier representatives
Participate in the development and training of professional staff
Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information
Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company and expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
Performs other duties as assigned or required
Qualification
Required
Experience as a Price Cost Analyst
Ability to analyze statistical and proposal data
Ability to develop independent price and cost recommendations
Experience compiling and analyzing source data from government or commercial databases
Ability to interface with internal functional groups and outside vendors/suppliers
Experience performing detailed analysis of supplier proposals and supporting documentation
Ability to perform fact finding at supplier locations
Experience analyzing and auditing direct/indirect rates at supplier facilities
Ability to perform regression analysis
Ability to determine reasonableness of proposed cost and pricing
Ability to interpret relevant government regulations (e.g. FAR & DFARS)
Experience developing and maintaining spreadsheet and/or cost models
Ability to prepare reports, charts, and graphs of findings
Experience participating in cost and pricing reviews
Experience in developing and training professional staff
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Understanding of laws, regulations, and obligations in business conduct
