Responsibilities
Appear on behalf of clients in courts and administrative hearings throughout the Chicagoland area
General civil litigation activities, including drafting pleadings and briefs, drafting and responding to written discovery, conducting depositions, trials, and legal research
Participate in all Continuing Legal Education trainings
Follow up on multiple, related tasks in a timely manner, ensuring that deadlines are met
Work with and support multiple clients simultaneously, ensuring effective communication, timely responses, and personalized service to meet each client's unique needs
Any other duties as necessary or required
Qualification
Required
Licensed in Illinois
3-7 years of litigation experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently
Sound judgment in handling highly confidential matters
Capable of managing a heavy and varied workload
Team-oriented, with the ability to work independently, prioritize, and multi-task
Awareness of updates and changes to Illinois statutes and case law
Quick learner with the ability to acquire new skills effectively and efficiently
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Self-motivated with a high level of initiative
Commitment to delivering the highest quality work and client service
Preferred
Mediation and arbitration experience
Knowledge of and experience with the Illinois Condominium Property Act
