Robert Half is a global technology organization in the software development space, seeking an experienced Corporate Trade Senior Manager to lead import and export compliance activities across the Americas. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, managing compliance programs, and collaborating with various functions within the company.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage import/export compliance programs across the Americas region
Ensure compliance with U.S. and international export, customs, and sanctions regulations
Serve as subject matter expert for export classification (CCL, USML), jurisdiction determination, and licensing
Support global trade compliance initiatives and internal policy alignment
Analyze import/export data to identify duty mitigation and savings opportunities
Partner with Supply Chain, Logistics, Tax, Finance, Legal, and site teams
Support trade compliance audits and internal assessments
Oversee trade compliance systems and support system enhancements and adoption
Develop and maintain trade compliance processes, procedures, and documentation
Deliver training to cross-functional teams on trade and export compliance requirements
Provide trade compliance support for M& A and due diligence activities

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field
5–8+ years of relevant global trade experience in corporate, legal, or Big 4 Indirect Tax or Big 4 Audit backgrounds who have hands-on export or trade compliance experience
Strong experience with export classification and jurisdiction determination
Knowledge of U.S. and international export regulations and compliance frameworks
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to influence and collaborate across functions and senior leadership
Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred

advanced degree a plus
Experience with trade compliance systems (SAP GTS, Amber Road / E2Open preferred)
