Tax Operations Manager

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage preparation and timely filing of all U.S. federal and state income tax returns, including estimated payments and extensions. Support non-US tax compliance and reporting
Oversee and manage quarterly and annual tax provisions under ASC 740 and local statutory accounting standards for tax reporting, including deferred tax calculations, uncertain tax positions, and global effective tax rate analysis
Manage US indirect tax compliance and accounting (e.g., sales and use tax) and support non-US indirect tax compliance and accounting across jurisdictions where the company operates
Partner with FP&A and Treasury on cash tax forecasting, effective tax rate modeling, and tax impact of business performance
Maintain robust documentation to support tax positions
Maintain documentation supporting inter-company transactions, transfer pricing policies, and local tax filings
Support M&A and integration activities as needed
Design and implement scalable global tax processes and internal controls
Partner with Accounting, FP&A, and Treasury to integrate tax operations into company systems and workflows
Evaluate, implement and optimize technology tools to automate tax processes and improve data accuracy
Lead continuous process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance tax reporting efficiency

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
6+ years of progressive tax experience, including both public accounting and in-house corporate experience
Strong technical knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax, international tax compliance, and ASC 740
Proven experience managing global tax compliance and reporting processes in a dynamic, high-growth environment
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Collaborative and adaptable — skilled at working across functions and time zones
High integrity, ownership, and accountability
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

CPA or Master's in Taxation
Experience in the software/SaaS or technology sector
Familiarity with indirect tax rules for digital products and services globally
Experience with ERP and tax technology platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Avalara, Stripe Tax, OneSource)
