Senior LevelDavid Joseph & Company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Soil Scientist to join their team. In this role, you will conduct soil surveys, interpret data for land use planning, and collaborate with other scientists to advance soil science and sustainability efforts.
Government Relations
Responsibilities
Conduct soil surveys and collect soil samples for laboratory analysis
Interpret soil data to make recommendations for land use planning
Prepare maps and other visual aids to illustrate soil characteristics
Collaborate with other scientists and stakeholders on interdisciplinary projects
Communicate findings and results to stakeholders, including government agencies and the public
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of soil data and results
Stay current with the latest developments in soil science by reading relevant literature and attending conferences
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in soil science, agronomy, or a related field
Licensed Soil Scientist (must have)
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of GIS software and mapping techniques
Experience conducting field research and analyzing soil data
