The role involves managing project teams for various engineering tasks, developing proposals and budgets, and mentoring staff while interacting with clients and regulatory officials.
Civil Engineering
Responsibilities
Manage project teams to complete engineering tasks such as airspace and earthwork volume calculations
Prepare and review technical reports
Design stormwater management systems, leachate collection systems, and landfill gas collection systems
Perform geotechnical analyses
Prepare landfill grading plans and project details and specifications
Develop proposals and project budgets and schedules
Manage the engineering staff
Perform quality control
Interact with clients, contractors, and local/state government officials
Impact the whole project from conceptual and design phases through the regulatory review process, bidding, and construction
Mentor and assist in the professional development of the staff
Perform annual reviews and establish development goals
Partner with management teams to customize individual career paths
Qualification
Required
10-15 years' experience
B.S. in Civil Engineering (or related field), M.S. in Civil Engineering preferred
Professional Engineer licensure (P.E.), with registration in OK or ability to obtain preferred
Expert in technical software and Civil Engineering technology, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software, and geotechnical modeling software
Established clients/contacts in the Solid Waste client sectors
Experience in scope of service and budget (proposal) development, and demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
Participation in both client- and professional development-based organizations
Excellent communication skills (speaking and writing), including experience communicating with staff, clients, contractors, and government regulatory officials
Ability to coordinate the regulatory agency review process
Preferred
M.S. in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer licensure (P.E.), with registration in OK or ability to obtain
