Drinking Water Engineering Intern (Summer 2026)
Brown and Caldwell is an environmental engineering firm focused on unlocking the potential of water and healthy environments. They are seeking a Summer Intern to gain hands-on experience in the Drinking Water team, where the intern will support project objectives and develop real-life skills.

Responsibilities
Develop R code for new treatment models in tidywater, our open-source R package and web application
Ingest and format data (using programming language of choice) for use in analysis
Format and organize information for reports
Perform basic CAD or GIS input or modifications
Provide basic project support such as formatting and distributing meeting notes, project filing, field site visits, and other general support of project engineers
Participate in field work at client sites, assisting other team members with laboratory or sampling tasks
Successfully manage and deliver assignments on time
Adhere to Brown and Caldwell’s quality assurance/quality control process
Qualification
Required
To qualify for an internship, you must be enrolled as a student seeking a degree in Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or a related field
You must be enrolled for the 2025–2026 academic year and plan to continue in Fall 2026
You also must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
