CDL Testing Coordinator-Part Time

160 Driving Academy is seeking a CDL Testing Coordinator to oversee and coordinate all aspects of Commercial Driver’s License testing. This role involves managing schedules, ensuring compliance with regulations, and serving as a liaison between students and examiners.

Responsibilities

Schedule CDL skills and knowledge tests in accordance with state testing guidelines
Coordinate examiner availability, vehicles, and equipment
Ensure students meet all eligibility requirements before testing
Manage test rosters and daily testing schedules
Ensure compliance with state DMV/Secretary of State and FMCSA regulations
Maintain accurate and complete testing records, score sheets, and required forms
Verify student documentation (permits, medical cards, training hours, ELDT compliance)
Submit test results promptly
Communicate testing requirements, expectations, and outcomes to students
Serve as a liaison between students, instructors, examiners, and management
Address student questions or concerns related to testing procedures
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
Ensure testing is conducted fairly, consistently, and according to policy
Monitor testing procedures to prevent errors or violations
Report testing irregularities or compliance concerns to leadership
Track pass/fail rates and testing metrics
Support program leadership with reporting and documentation requests

Required

High school diploma or GED required
Knowledge of CDL testing standards and state regulations (or ability to learn quickly)

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

Experience in CDL training, testing, or the transportation industry
Prior experience working with DMV/Secretary of State processes
Familiarity with ELDT requirements
Experience coordinating schedules or compliance-based programs
