Responsibilities

Develop and implement site-specific safety programs and practices
Conduct regular inspections and audits of the site to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Provide training and support to construction staff regarding health and safety procedures
Investigate incidents and accidents to identify causes and recommend corrective actions
Collaborate with project managers and site personnel to promote a culture of safety
Maintain records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the safety programs and initiatives

Required

15+ years of safety experience with a minimum of 5 years on a Water/Wastewater treatment plant construction project
Certification as a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO)
Proven experience in site safety management within the construction industry
Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and safety protocols
Experience as a construction health and safety technician
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to water treatment and construction
