Responsibilities

Assisting in the management of sales and use tax audits, including gathering documentation, responding to auditor inquiries, and negotiating settlements
Conducting research on complex sales and use tax issues and providing guidance on tax implications to clients
Handling the preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns for multiple jurisdictions
Monitoring changes in tax legislation and staying informed on current market trends to uphold your reputation as a reliable advisor
Understanding clients' business activities and fostering strong relationships to provide personalized advice tailored to their unique needs

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
2-4 years of experience in sales and use tax, preferably including a senior role
In-depth knowledge of state and local sales and use tax regulations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Excel
Proficient in tax research tools

Preferred

An achieved or partially achieved CPA or CMI qualification or the ability to sit for the bar, or actively working toward one of the three
Proficiency in Alteryx, Power BI, and/or other data manipulation and transformation software
