Responsibilities
The SQL Database Administrator will be accountable for database administration
Participate in 12x7 on-call DBA support
Respond to War room Alerts & Pages in a timely manner
Define Backup / Recovery strategy
Regular Production Ops DBA support tasks/tickets
Qualification
Required
Accountable for database administration, design, build and tune mission critical Microsoft SQL Server environments
Standard SQL Server DBA duties like applying SQL Server patches
Supporting database backups and restores
Working on any performance tuning requirements
Live monitoring of databases
Work closely with application support and development teams to refine SQL scripts
Assist in application release deployments
Support any database break-fix type requests
Run database health checks and troubleshoot/remediate any findings
Upgrades of current SQL Server lower version environments to latest version
Help with Migration of On-prem MSSQL DBs to cloud
Participate in 12x7 on-call DBA support
Respond to War room Alerts & Pages in a timely manner
Define Backup / Recovery strategy
Regular Production Ops DBA support tasks/tickets
