HVAC Outside Sales Engineer- Remote/Hybrid (Eastern and Central Time Zone)

Responsibilities
Develop and execute a territory growth plan to expand ATEX presence in commercial modular applications
Identify, qualify, and win new customers and prospects
Partner with Inside Sales to identify opportunities for new products and services within the existing customer base
Conduct regular on-site customer visits (~4 days/week) to build strong relationships with OEMs, modular builders, contractors, and integrators
Identify new modular projects, retrofit opportunities, and standard-spec HVAC programs
Provide product selection guidance, application support, and technical clarification as needed (training provided)
Influence system specifications and scope during early project phases
Prepare and deliver sales proposals, pricing discussions, and value presentations to secure business
Coordinate internally with Customer Service, Warranty, Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering to ensure a clean handoff from sale to fulfillment
Maintain accurate opportunity pipeline updates and weekly reporting through NetSuite and CRM/data tools
Meet or exceed revenue and gross profit targets for the assigned territory
Attend major industry trade shows and conferences
Provide technical and/or sales presentations and training to sales staff or field technicians as needed
Qualification
Required
5+ years of sales experience in commercial HVAC, distribution, OEM manufacturing, or related mechanical systems
Strong understanding of HVAC components, system applications, and installation environments
Demonstrated experience managing a multi-state territory and independent travel schedule
Ability to build rapport, educate customers, and differentiate value in competitive markets
Proficient with Microsoft Office; NetSuite or CRM experience preferred
Valid driver's license and ability to travel 75–85%
Must live in Eastern or Central time zone

Live near Orlando, FL, Shreveport, LA or Elkhart, IN
Live near an airport if not near one of our offices
