Responsibilities
Serve as Senior .NET Application Architect and Lead Developer for the Franklin County Auditor’s Office
Provide technical leadership for application migration and modernization following a recent tax accounting system implementation
Assess existing MVC-based applications and identify areas for migration or modernization
Define and recommend application architecture patterns and technical standards
Lead hands-on development of .NET applications and REST APIs
Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server stored procedures, indexes, and queries
Ensure best practices with Entity Framework and data access patterns
Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical designs
Work closely with IT Project Manager to define project scope, milestones, and deliverables
Mentor and support developers through code reviews and troubleshooting
Support development workflows using GitHub Enterprise
Communicate progress, risks, and technical recommendations to IT Director and leadership
Contribute to project planning by providing development estimates
May perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
8+ years of professional .NET development experience
Deep expertise in C#, .NET, and Entity Framework
Strong experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
Advanced SQL Server skills (stored procedures, indexing)
Experience with GitHub Enterprise
Demonstrated leadership/mentoring of development teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Experience with legacy MVC application migration/modernization (highly desired)
Familiarity with React, Vite, and NodeJS (highly desired)
Experience stabilizing/improving production environments (highly desired)
Experience in public sector or high-visibility environments (highly desired)
Experience with financial, tax, or property-related systems (highly desired)
