Post-Doctoral Neuropsychologist
Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a Post-Doctoral Neuropsychologist to provide clinical consultations and evaluations for patients with neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders. The role involves administering neuropsychological assessments, report writing, and participating in research programs while supervising graduate students in psychology.

Responsibilities
Supervised administration, scoring, interpretation of neuropsychological assessment measures
Supervised report writing based on above
Supervised interviewing and consultation with patients and families
Supervised involvement in psychotherapy and/or family support groups as related to neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders (e.g., epilepsy, ADHD)
Participation in departmentally based research programs
Supervision of graduate students in psychology
Participation in professional advocacy activities
Qualification
Required
Possession of a Doctorate in Psychology from a program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA)
Current predoctoral intern in psychology internship accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) and letter from the training director of the home program that documents the applicant's completion of all degree requirements by the fellowship start date
Extensive experience in the administration, scoring, and interpretation of neuropsychological measures, principally with children / adolescents but also with adults
Extensive experience in clinical interviewing of children, adolescents, parents, and individual adults
Preliminary experience in neuropsychological report writing
Eligibility for Psychology Limited Permit in New York State
The Stony Brook Neuropsychology Service is a participant program of the Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology (APPCN)
Preferred
Extensive experience in neuropsychological report writing
Relevant coursework in neuroanatomy, neuropsychology, psychometric theory, statistics
Demonstration of scholarship in neuropsychology equivalent to level of study, i.e., early career research
Experience in supervised psychotherapy
Experience with consultation liaison and team focused work in a medical and/or psychiatric setting
Both inpatient and outpatient clinical experience
