Responsibilities
Lead and expand the tax practice for the Raleigh partner firm, with responsibility for growth, client service, and team leadership
Deliver high-quality tax advisory and compliance services to entrepreneurial businesses, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals
Review tax closings, oversee preparation of individual and business entity returns
Respond to client inquiries on compliance matters including income tax, franchise tax, sales/use tax, labor, and benefits
Conduct intermediate tax and accounting research to ensure accurate reporting
Develop budgets and pricing, select staff, assign workloads, and prepare reports
Drive practice growth through expansion of services to existing clients and proactive business development
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insight on complex tax issues and structuring opportunities
Recruit, mentor, and inspire a high-performing tax team, fostering a collaborative and growth-focused culture
Collaborate with Elevate’s leadership team and shared services to leverage technology, innovation, and best practices across the platform
Qualification
Required
Active CPA license required
10+ years of progressive experience in business taxation, ideally with a Big 4, large national, or regional firm
Demonstrated success leading client engagements and growing a practice
Strong client relationship skills and reputation for delivering exceptional service
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to thrive in a growth-oriented environment
