Responsibilities
Engage Industry Leaders: Build relationships across the advanced reactor community to identify unmet needs and scope potential projects
Solve Novel Engineering Problems: Lead design and execution for sodium purification systems, cover-gas loops, and other auxiliary plant systems
Drive Business Expansion: Write technical white papers, shape proposals, and help win new contracts in a fast-expanding sector
Lead Projects: Serve as lead engineer or technical project manager overseeing fabrication, integration, and testing of sodium-related systems
Qualification
Required
U.S. Citizenship due to Department of Energy regulatory guidelines
Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Nuclear, Mechanical, or Process Engineering
10+ years of experience with hazardous chemical processes, advanced reactors, or DOE nuclear programs
Ability to understand customer pain points and develop creative technical solutions
Comfortable building relationships and presenting to engineers, directors, and executives
Willing to travel 10–20% (up to 50% if remote)
Preferred
Location in Tri-Cities Washington area highly preferred
Hybrid schedule preferred in Richland, WA; remote considered with willingness to travel 25–50%
