Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and program new processes including vacuum metallization utilizing Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, and Omron controllers
Design/procurement of new tooling for paint process of individual components
Participate in the sourcing of new tooling/machinery for production needs when necessary
Read and interpret documents/drawings, electrical prints, hydraulic, pneumatic, and ladder logic diagrams
Seek out advancements in technology that will improve IIS production abilities
Participate in design reviews to review drawings, analyze tooling, and recommend improvements leading to increased productivity, quality, and safety
Attend and participate in New Product Development (NPD) meetings as scheduled
Provide support to New Product Development group
Provide support to ALP for current production engineering changes when needed
Communicate with customers, suppliers, and production personnel to complete duties
Develop efficient painting programs for new products on Kawasaki, Fanuc, and Motoman robots
Generate and control project schedules, monitor project budget, and reports complete project status
Performs other duties, tasks, and projects at the direction of immediate supervisor
Qualification
Required
0-4 years of coatings processing
Electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic, and PLC programming skills
Knowledge of programming robots (Kawasaki, Fanuc, Motoman, and IA)
Proficient in MS Office Systems
B.S. degree in engineering technology or equivalent related experience preferred
