Process Automation Engineer

Jacobs is a leading engineering solutions provider collaborating with NASA on deep space exploration. They are seeking a temporary Process Automation Engineer to review and automate processes for the Crew and Thermal Systems Division, enhancing efficiencies and user experience through software updates and AIML tools.

Responsibilities

Review existing processes used by Crew and Thermal Systems Division Systems Test Branch and identify opportunities for automation
Update software so as to improve efficiencies
Create and upgrade HMI screens to enhance user experience
Use AIML tools and methodologies for scaling document control, configuration control and for systems identification
Perform system checkouts, procurements, testing/maintenance activities and documentation
Perform other duties as required

Required

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering with experience in the field or in a related area
Computer programming experience
Experience with SQL database
Understanding of electrical drawings and procedures for instrumentation systems
Experience with data acquisition systems and their application
Proficiency using computers
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or IT from an accredited university
Familiarity with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedures
Knowledge of SCADA systems (eg ICONICS, Ignition), SQL Server
Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and programming software
