Responsibilities
Partner with Google's first-party (1P) product teams to understand their business objectives and provide expert consultation on leveraging the Payments Platform for business generation
Design, develop, and implement technical solutions to support new product features, geographic expansions, and platform integrations
Act as the primary technical expert for partners, providing ongoing support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the stability of payment integrations
Lead planning sessions with technical partner teams to define project scope and technical requirements. Identify opportunities to optimize and automate workflows while enhancing platform capabilities based on partner needs
Lead the technical execution of platform migrations and partner integrations by collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, and Business Operations while managing stakeholder expectations and communicating key insights
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
6 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP)
5 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java and Python)
Experience working with API integrations
Experience working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)
Experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers
Preferred
Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
Experience identifying business needs and designing technical solutions in a changing environment
Experience managing multiple technical projects simultaneously with on-time delivery
Ability to lead technical projects, drive process improvements, and foster innovation
Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills with experience in the payments industry
Excellent program management and communication skills for coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders
